Most major home improvement stores carry them and any electrical supply house. The price will vary by the type of fixture you choose. I have an Elliott Electrical Supply book and they show to be in the range of $40-$60 for the individual lights and exit signs and they also offer a 2in1 combo unit from $115-$136. There are tons of varieties for emergency lighting, (whether you want the lights that mount on the wall or a backup for the existing fluorescent lighting that you have)go to a reputable vendor and they can help you out.
They are cheapest if you order them online.
