The refrigerator is shot, try freecycle

everything on this site is free, if you don't see what you need then post it. Just be sure to return the favor later
Most likely either you have a freon leak, or the compressor is shot. You cannot 'play' with freon anymore without capturing old freon - you most likely will have to have someone do it professionally.
google appliance repair or refrigerator repair, there are several websites that have answers for this type of question
Try cleaning under the back of the unit. Sometimes dirt build up keeps the fan from transferring the heat from the freezer/ re-frig. to the surrounding air. If this doesn't work, then, it is time to buy a new one.
I would try to call a used appliance store like Statens Appliance in Garland, ask for Harold. 972 2722246, tell him the problem, and he will tell you what you might need,, and even how to do it yourself, if its possible, otherwise you may have to pay for a service call, but be honest, and tell them "I need some help, and money is tight, can you kinda feel me in on what the problem might be, I did this with my dryer, it was the motor, and he swapped me a good dryer, for mine, and I paid him the price of the motor, he put it on mine, and sold mine 2 days later, and still made a small profit for himself, and my dryer is great for the price (no labor, service call,or taxes) only the price of the motor which I think was like 90$, but it works great, and I couldn't had mine fixed for that price...thanks Becky d
you can try to to get someone to fix it but the repair is usually real expensive, which doesnt make it worth fixing
well most likely nothing ..get a new one..lows have usually 6 months no pay get a cheap one.
unless you have a liciense to handle feon. there is nothing you can do. so you need to buy a new one or pay someone to fix it.
Depending on the model...most older units have what they call a "defrost timer" That is probably shot or stuck. If you look one up online you might find a picture. it is kind of triangle shaped with a round plastic dial with a screw driver slot in it. if you find it... <usually under the back cover near the plug wire> you can turn the dial with a flat screw driver till it clicks louder.you will know when it clicks properly. if no response continue clicking till the compressor turns on. then let run. Other wise call a tech.
A new timer is usually under $50
