How do I check a dual element fuse to see if it is open ?
Question:I know for a fact that I have a time delay dual element fuse that is bad. However, when I ohm the fuse with a meter it checks out ok. Is this because only one element is open or is there another answer ? What is the proper way to check a dual element fuse ?

When a dual element fuse blows it takes out both elements. Sorry. If it checks good with the ohmmeter then the fuse is still good.
Your problem is elsewhere.

Ohm across it.
Some times explosion inside of fuse will show ohm in tester
but when you checked in power ON condition you'll see no voltage pass trough the device.It's mean fuse is cut circuit.
For test fuse you most disconnect fuse from circuit then test it.
