Toilet slow to flush...sometimes just goes around and around...?
Question:Toilet slow to flush...sometimes just goes around and around...what can I do? I need to fix it myself....
Answers:
Sounds like not enough water pressure or a clog. Try plunging it. I had the same problem, but fortunatly my landlord came out with a snake and fixed it.
Make sure the vent lin e is open on the discharge line it may need air.Vent should be 1 foot above roof.
snake out the line or pour drian cleaner into toilet
drain has a small clog.
You need to determine if it is the drain or the toilet. Take a 5 gallon bucket of water and quickly pour it into the toilet bowl. (stop if it does's not go down) If it doesn't go down, it's a clog in the bowl or drainline. If it goes down nearly as quickly as you pour it in, it's a toilet problem. Remove the tank lid and flush. See if the flapper stays up until the water is almost drained from the tank. It should. Next, take a mirror and inspect the holes under the bowl rim. They sometimes get clogged with mineral deposits. Clean with a coathanger wire. If you get bubbles in the bowl when flushing, it's a vent problem. Good luck.
there a small hole at the front bottom ,that gets clogged and filled in with calcified rock hard material, get a screw driver and carefully remove, and clear this hole for better toilet performance
