LG WD-8026c washing machine trips my safety switch on spin cycle?
Question:I have had the motor replaced twice and the control panel once and it is now out of warranty. It seems to trip safety switch at around the same spot every time. There are no leaks i can find affecting electrical parts. On top of this, i have now blown 3 televisions in 2 years and i wonder if it is conected to the washer. It has been suggested to me that the machine may be causing a voltage surge when it trips circuit on peak load which may be cause of TV problems. I have been told that i have an earth problem with my house wiring and maybe using to much wash powder. I have an electrician friend who assures me the earthing of my house has nothing to do with it and we are only following instructions on pack for powder. I am at whits end and fresh out of solutions. Can someone pleeeease help??

It may be the washing machine, but if you havent had it for that long nnd you have blown 3 TV's then it could be your wiring of the house. I would get a electrician in, just to rule that out. It also could faulty wiring in the power point as well. If not I would get a new washing machine. How old is your house? And also has your house got a modern metre box, or an old one? It could be also that your washing machine and TV's are all on the same line. this causing an over load. I know that if my lights go out and the TV is still going there i something wrong with that and if the TV, fridge and stuff arnt working but the lights are then there is usually an appliance that is not working causing the safety switch to turn off.
I would avoid LG products like the plague. You cannot buy parts or find technical information unless you are a member of a monopoly. For more information on how washers work,
