Umm that's kind of a generl question. But I would say make sure the roof is good and fix any leaks. Take care of any pest problems. Check the foundation and make sure it is good. Winterize every year. Seal up holes and cracks that lead into the home. Always brush your teeth. Eat well. Make sure water drains everywhere and is not sitting anywhere. You could re plumb your house if the pipes are old. Just keep the place clean and free of debris and kluge, I would say that's the biggest thing. Good luck.
