How can you repair an air mattress without a patch kit?
Question:I have a self-inflating Aerobed with a small hole. Unfortunately, I lost the patch kit it came with. Does anyone know where I can get one, or how I can fix it? i tried duct tape, but it didn't hold.
Answers:
you should be able to find a patch kit at your local hardware store, or you can use a tire patch kit (found anywhere they sell bikes)
gum
locate the puncture (using water, or your ears, whatever)
Try a dot of crazy glue over the hole.
Or crazy glue+a piece of plastic.
they have the little kits at department stores fairly cheap!
but if it is just a tiny little hole you could try some supper clue with the duct tape! even silicone may work!
but i suggest going to the store and getting a patch kit!
check dollar stores too!
Duct tape. It was designed to stop air leaks.
Go to your local bike shop or hardware store and get an inner tube repair kit for a bike or car tire make sure it has the scratcher, glue and patches. Or at the hardware store or camping goods store they may have the proper kit.
Or go to:http://www.aerobed.co.uk/pages/spares1.a... and order the repair kit.
Check Kmart sporting goods for a product called Shoe Goo. It's made for sneakers but works great for your problem. It dries flexable and 30 times faster than silicon. A small dab will dry. in 30 min.
