How do I fix a leaky block foundation basement...my walls seep.?

I bought a house where the seller lied on the disclosure statement. He stated the basement had no signs of water. Well, the first BIG rain, water came in every outside wall of the house. Then I remembered seeing all his stuff in the basement up on pallets when I toured the house.
Anyway, the only real way to get a totally dry basement is to have it professionally waterfproofed. Waterproof paint does not work, because as the saying goes..."water always wins". It will just find some place else to seep.
I dont know if they are nationwide, but I had a company called Everdry do mine. They offer a life time warranty. I did not pick the cheapest company to do this. There are alot of them out there. Get quotes from at least 3 companies.
Everydry dug down the walls from the outside(about 4 feet down) and sealed all the cracks they found. They then dug up the basement floor about a foot from the wall out. They placed a drainage system in the floor that led to a sump pump in my fruit cellar. This system got rid of any residual water that made it past what they did outside. This water was then pumped outside and into a "drywell". This is a big, deep pit they dug in the back yerd and filled in with gravel and sand.
I moved from this house not too long ago. The basement never leaked again, and my house was worth more when I sold it b/c the basement had been waterproofed professionally.
Good luck.
You need to try two things. First is to go outside and try to determine why excessive moisture is gravitating towards your foundation. It may be as simple as spreading some top soil to guide the water away and around the house. It could be pipes are buried there or there could be a natural spring there as well. Try to fix that issue first to lessen the cause of the problem. Second, go out and buy a sealant paint product named DryLoc. Its the BEST product you can buy. You should have the store stir the paint before you buy it as its got a sediment in it thats hard to get stirred up well by hand. Make sure you ventialte heavily when applying this paint as its got some strong fumes. YOu can apply this with the walls wet or dry. Once the paint is dry, guaranteed unless you have gaping cracks in your walls, the leaks will be gone.
go to sherwin williams, they will help you fix your problem.
