I'm glueing parquet floor boards, adhesive needs to "Flash" for 15 minutes. What does that mean?

Question:

Answers:
Flash essentially means drying. It means that once you spread the glue on the floor, let it stand for 15 minutes before placing the boards on top. The reason for this is setting. If you put the floor down on top of very wet glue, it will be slimy and allow for motion if someone walks on the floor. Think about water on the floor, then some sort of plastic on top, and then you walk on it. That type of motion. This will cause the joints to open. If the glue flashes, it will hold more steady immediately.

quick air dry...it means it needs to set..before you put the two together..put glus on one side..wait the 15 mins then set to next board
this allows the glue toget tacky and when you set it, it will stick NOW! dont wait too long or you wont get propper adhesion.
