How do u change a lawnmower spark plug?

you dont even need a deep socket for this! a simple adjustable wrench will do and unscrew the old plug and install new one.takes about 25 seconds
Use a wrench to un screw the old one and put/screw in a new one.
You need a deepset socket, probably 5/8", they also make special plug sockets with neoprene inserts. Use a socket wrench to turn the socket and remove the plug. Get a new plug of the same type, set the gap to the owner's manual spec with a gapping tool, install new plug and connect wire. Turn new plug to medium torque, don't leave lightly turned and don't lean on the wrench when tightening.
There is a special socket that is just used for spark plugs that is deep and will fit all the way over the plug. Of course you can also just use a regular wrench to unscrew it. You just pull the wire off the top of the spark plug, wrench out the old plug, and take that plug to a automotive parts store and hand it to them and tell them you need a new one. The will give you the one you need. The last step is to just check the "gap" on the plug to make sure the one that you get is the same gap as the one that is in the mower.
Occasionally they get changed or someone substitutes a different plug than the one that is required. There is a special tool known as a spark plug gapper that measures the distance between the contact point on the plug and the node that generates the spark. If the gap is too wide or too close you won't get the right amount of spark and the engine won't run properly.
There is a special deep socket with a foam lining that will remove the spark plug and replace it safely. You need to remove the spark plug wire before removing the spark plug. The wire just pops off.

same way you change most spark plugs, you need the proper wrench and new plug and anti seize compound, remember to not over tighten.
