Kenmore Frefrigerator always has water inside?
Question:My refrigerator has water inside. In one day I can get a hand towel soaking wet from what is accumulating. I cant tell where it is coming from. I do have a ice maker, BUT that is NOT hooked up. The water doesn't smell funny either. Help me I'm stumped!
Answers:
Your condenser tray is full and you need to empty it. If your refrigerator runs a lot, a lot of condensation forms (like an air conditioner). There is a tray under your refrigerator that needs to be emptied.
I'm pretty sure kenmore has a phone number you can call about that but if I were you I'd go to the place that you purchased it and report the problem. They may have someone come out and repair the problem.
If you have a top freezer, there is a small tube in the bottom towards the back. When you freezer auto defrost, any liquid goes down that tube and into a drip pan. The tube is probably clogged.
Stuff to try:
Hair dryer pointed directly at the opening.
Use a piece of wire (no sharp point) to snake it out.
Use a turkey baster to shoot some warm water into the opening.

It's probably water from a plugged defrost drain. Every time the ref. goes into a defrost cycle, the water drains through an opening under the cooling coils & is supposed to make its way into a catch pan under the ref. Find this opening & check to see if it's iced over. You can thaw it out with HOT water & a turkey baster.
