The easiest way to unsolder a tv fly back transformer?

Question:I do not have a desoldering station and it takes me long time to unsolder the pins with the soldering iron and the solder pump

Answers:
If that's all you have for tooling, it'll take that long to do it. That's why desoldering stations were created!

Desoldering Braid would be your best bet. It's cheap and very easy to use. It can be found at Radio Shack or any other electronic hobby shop.

The pump is probably the fastest and easiest. You should be clearing ALL the solder from the pin in one shot. It does not work to take off a little bit at a time. If it is taking you more tries than that, then something is wrong. Correct the issue, then apply fresh solder back ON the pin before you try to suck it off again.

There is a bunch of stuff that commonly goes wrong when you try to suck solder.
1. The pump does not have good suction. Does the pump hold a vacuum if you hold your finger on the hole and trip it?
2. You do not have enough heat. Get a bigger iron tip or hold it on the joint a little longer before you trigger the pump.
3. The solder does not flow well. Maybe it was overheated. Maybe there is not enough of it. Use flux and/or more solder. Hold the pump at a straighter angle.
