Where can I find used building materials?
Question:I am looking for a website that sells used building materials in the Syracuse NY area anyone have any idea of a link for them?
I tried to do a search for building restoration materials but everything comes up from out of state or in Canada.

I usually go to FreeCycle.org to find used building materials. Instead of throwing stuff away people post their things on this site. It is set up locally by chapter and I believe the Syracuse area has one. It is a great resource.
In the past I have found tons of old deck materials and other lumber that is in great shape.
The best part is that it is free!! People are not allowed to charge for their products. It is very cool.
Ask any building contractor for that...
Try ebay, do a search by location. you can usually pick up building materials, pavers, brick etc. Who knows what else??
