Question:

Answers:
Definately no.no.as retired electrician, the institute of electrical engineers ,rules and regulations state that cooker, and electrical power points must be situated at least 6feet away from domestic household sinks, taps and pipes conected to water mains in a dwelling.if a fault or any earth leakage develops in your washing machine and becomes live.you will run the risk of electrocuting yourself/others when you go to switch of the power at the mains fuse box,any local electrical shop will give you the same advice as i have

Not recommended.
yes if you dont mind re wiring the whole house when it leaks!
A very bad idea.
Water and electricity.
you could if you have cold water supply in the cupboard and a waste pipe to take the dirty water away, I would gather that the electric box is up high and not on the floor.
not a good idea, water and electric dont mix
If its a front loader, go ahead!

The thing wont "walk" on you, plus, you wont get moisture from the washing machine.

Now, if its a "top loader" FORGET IT!

One, you will have moisture when you wash. This is a bad thing for any "Electrical Box", as it will destroy the breakers or deterriorate the contacts of make the "fuses seize" if you have the old "screw-in" type fuses...

It will corrode the electrical connections, (ever see copper with a green petina on it, thats what will eventually happen to the inside of your fuse box!).

Plus, that thing will "walk" and bump into everything, including your cupboard and could even damage the sides of it.

I wish you well...

Jesse
You could, but I wouldn't
you need to check your local codes
You trying to KILL yourself? Water and electricity arent the best of mates!! Hope you have your house insured :)
