I want to paint the inside of my microwave oven?
Question:What sort or paint is best to use on the inside of your microwave. Because the paint on the track where the dish turns round and round has worn away and its going rusty. So I want to treat it rather than buy a new oven. Will any old paint do or is there special microwave oven paint?
Answers:
Microwaves require special paint you should be able to find them at any of your local appliance repair stores or you can order one online heres two websites you might find helpfull

prob best to buy a new one
theyre cheap as microchips these days
go to your local walmart and get a new microwave.
Put a tin of gloss in and put it on full.10 Minutes should do it.
don't do it. can't do it.
buy a new one.
or remove the rust. do not do not paint it.
you painting it won't work.
think what microwaves do.
are you for real?? lol
any paint just cover the rust a small tin is alot cheaper than a new microwave
Any paint will do.
Try and get a lead based paint, and leave some matches in there too.
paint it film it claim on the insurance as your house burns down
A confined tight space, food and burning paint fumes---you get the idea---I would take some steel wool and clean up the rust the best you can until you cant live with it then its off to buy a new one.
The enamel you have in there now was baked on at the Chinese microwave mill--any paint you put on will not bake on but burn off, most likely.I would not want to put my health in the hands of a heat resistant enamel, considering the closed environment of the oven
I would not recommend painting the inside of a microwave. It sounds as though you have more than got your moneys worth out of it so far. Buy a new one as they are not that spendy and might have a few more settings than the old one.
If you do that your food will smell of paint and will reduce the effeciency of your microwave.
Wow look at all these answers. Use an enamel spray paint if your doing the entire cavity or use an enamel finger nail paint etc if your doing just touch up. Good luck
you well either burn the house down or melt the microwave.
Are you mad?
DO NOT PAINT THE INSIDE OF A MICROWAVE!
A cheap microwave will set you back £60-80...
A Tin of paint will cost you £5-10 and will not do a damn thing other then:
a. Poison you slowly.
b. Melt and gunk up the vents causing the machine to blow up.
c. Poison you quickly
d. Invalidate your warranty.
Just buy a new machine.
Just but a new nuker or do without. Painting the inside of a microwave is a very bad choice.
NO paint you can use at home will work
And it would be dangerous.
Clean it down with wire wool and put cooking oil on to stop more rusting
You can buy a simple microwave for less than £25 - Coop , TESCO etc
If it is so bad you can't use it , and you can't afford a new one, get one off FREEcycle
but be prepared for some heavy cleaning
DON'T DO IT. RATHER GO BUY A NEW ONE. IF YOU PAINT IT AND NUKE A CHICKEN FOR EXAMPLE YOUR CHICKEN IS FIRSTLY GONNA TASTE AND SMELL LIKE PAINT AND THE SECOND THING IS ALL THE TOXINS FROM THE PAINT WILL DRAW INTO THE CHICKEN, YOU MIGHT NOT FEEL SO GO AFTER EATING THAT
You would be extremely foolish to even contemplate such an
action. Just think for a moment, about how a microwave works ? Doing what you suggest is extremely dangerous &
mind boggling.
