How to flush out a rodent just taken residence in my kitchen?

Question:

Answers:
trap it and dispose of it. rodents can be carriers of disease that you don't want to have spread to other animals/people!

I use a Havahart trap, and it's wonderful. (Actually, I have two: mouse-sized and rat/squirrel-sized.) You put a little peanut butter on the tray, maybe stick a cracker or nuts into the peanut butter, set the trap, and it will catch the critter in a sturdy metal cage without hurting it. Then you can release the rodent in a more suitable habitat.

We have relocated 6 squirrels (and too many mice to count) using these fine devices. I recommend them highly. Hardware stores carry them, and they'll last a lifetime.
here kitty kitty! or a small dog
