Will I damage my kegerator if I transport it on its side?
Question:I am transporting an unused kegerator & it will not fit in my Jeep Grand Cherokee vertically. Will it damage it if I lay the kegerator on it's side? If so, how should I transport it?
Answers:
Transporting it is fine, but after you set it back upright let it sit for at least 12 hours, just to be safe, prior to plugging it back in.
first of all u should unplug it
As long as you don't run it on its side, and you allow it to "settle" for a while after moving it (so the compressor lubricant will have time to return to its normal area) you should be fine.
Above answers are good so I won,t tell you to lay it so the oil won,t drain out of the compressor.
