How can i fix the tip of a pool stick?

Question:the tip of my pool stick needs to be replaced. i just bout a repair kit and heres the problem,

the tips that came with the kit.

on one side it has a leather on it

and on the other side it doesn't have a leather side.

witch side should i add the glue to it.

the side with the leather

or the side that doesn't have the leather side.

please help.

one side should be leather and sort of rounded. Thats the side that strikes the ball. The flat side is glued to the end of the stick. Make sure you clean the surfaces good so they will make good contact. Use a quality glue and take your time. It will be worth it.
