How to replace a solid HOB burner on a cooktop?

Question:I need to replace a burner in a Kenmore cooktop. It is a solid HOB burner and I am not sure how you remove and replace it with a new one. This is not the usual coil type burner. Help!

Answers:
The parts are costly but its not that hard to do. I've done it before and I'm not an electrician. If you remove the whole cooktop, from underneath you should be able to loosen some clips and remove the burner. You really need to look underneath the cooktop to see what you need to do. Then maybe take a pic, perhaps then i can help more.

Its a pain in the neck and the parts are costly. Dont ever buy another one and just cook with three burners and forget it.
