How do you open a doorknob with a hole on one side?

Question:The doorknob on my bathroom has a lock on the inside and then a know on the other side. The lock is the kind where you turn the tiny knob. I've tried sticking things into the hole, but I can't figure out how to unlock it.

Answers:
okay, here is the way to unlock it with a siple bic pen. If it's a push type lock, just pull out the ink part of the pen and stick it in there and it will pop open. If it's a turn lock, pinch the end of the ink cartridge of the pen with your teeth, stick it in the hole and turn..viola.open door. You may have to bend the cartridge at a 90degree angle to get a little leverage out of it but it will work. If all else fails, put on a heavy pair of boots and give the ol' cop kicker in door trick. That Always works!!

a small screwdriver and turn it
The ones I've used are simply push straight in the little hole, maybe yours you need a little screwdriver and turn or you need something that is stiffer to push with, or it is broken or corroded. Try some WD 40.
If it is a round hole, use a stiff wire or nail or knitting needle and push fairly hard. That will unlock it. !
If it is a slot, use a screw driver and twist it.
Use a screwdriver. If possible, I would replace the knob with a different knob. This would help this situation.
