How to stop aircon from leaking??
Question:its leaking from the bottom
Answers:
If this is a window unit, then you need to slightly tilt the uint so that the water flows out of the back, make sure it is not full of debrie or slime. if the unit has a small hose coming out of the back and no water is flowing, them use a straw or another small hose and blow through it to unclog it. if you can, fit a small funnel to the end of the hose and pour in some hot dish soap water, then drains it. this should keep algia from growing inside. It may have to be shimmed up from the inside for it to flow out side.
The above answer is true. Although I am not a fan of a homeowner having to rig a support system for their unit. Depending on the age of the system, or if you just installed it in your window for the summer, I would assume that it has not leaked before, therefore I would check the interior pan. It might be cracked or rusted through. Which unfortunately means replacement.

The first answer is true, but...
Whether or not it is a window unit or a central unit, you must maintain the drainage. Once a month you should use a cup of bleach in drain pan. Most of these pans can be found where the filters are changed on the unit or by the obvious access panel on the front of it the indoor unit. You will see a drain pan with water in it or at least wet. This pan should be able to drain quickly enough that it does not overflow. The drain tube runs to outside of the house. Find it outside, usually near the outside unit. make sure that water is coming out of it and that nothing is trying to set roots up in it.
If it is clogged it can be blown out with compressed air. Only do that if you know what you are doing.
The main thing for homeowners if to use the bleach to keep the slime, mold and mildew from building up in the lines and in the pan.
Good luck!
