What's the best temperature to set on the thermostat of your air conditioner?

Question:And not be uncomfortably hot?

Answers:
for total comfort I suggest 72, but you will have to find whats most comfortable for you. Just remember, never set thermostat below 68 degrees, may cause your unit to ice up.

68-72 is where we keep ours and it stays comfortable
I live in TX and I leave mine on 78 when I'm home (80 when I'm not). I use both ceiling fans and box fans to keep the air circulating.

I'm fine until I have a power surge (read hot flash).
well everyone is different and I dont like to be hot. I like to sleep with it cold enough to hang meat!
It depends on the person, but I think 72 is perfect. My elderly parents would probably say 80.
