How do I get rid of mold "soaked through the walls"?
Question:In my apartment, there is this living mold (its alive) growing through the wood and plaster. I hope to fix the problem before it kills me. Help!

Since you said this is an apartment, I assume you're renting. If so, contact the landlord/owner. Not only is this their responsibility, but remediation with involve knocking out walls. So it's definitely not somethign for you to do yourself.
When you talk to them, mention your concern that this could be toxic mold, and ensure that they will be using a qualified mold remediation specialist to do the cleanup. The cleanup crew should be wearing goggles and respirators, and they should be sealing off the affected area with plastic drop cloths and tape. If a yahoo shows up and just starts knocking holes in the wall, I'd first call the owner/landlord and tell them that the person they sent isn't a qualifed mold remediation specialist. If they insist that the person they sent is fine, I'd tell them that I hop their liability policy is current, and that my next calls will be to the county health dept and an attorney.
if i black mold it can kill you , remove al l the mold about
4ft x4ft around this area, wash it with bleach, and let that soak in over night , replace the boards with new ,
best check to see where it comeing in from? or it will just return
They make aproduct called mold primer sealer buy some redo all areas afected and this will solve your problem.
You cant get out as soon as possible it will make you deathly sick & can kill it is VERRY toxic!! =( I know it is sad to hear but I swear you can bleach ALL you want it will come right back!!
you said you live in an apt.? i would call the landlord and make him/her fix it. some molds are very dangerous because they leave spores in the air. the only real way to get rid of it is to totally remove the damaged area and replace with new. if you do fix it yourself, save a sample in a baggie and take it to a health inspector. and wear a mask.
If you own the place and wanna stay there, let a proffetional help you with the mold because some molds are very toxic to the point tha can kill if you breath on them.
Or better to move to another place!
bleach water in a spray bottle, and let dry
If you have mold that thick, you need to report it to your apartment manager to have the walls replaced. It would probably be cheaper than hiring a company. Mold is very dangerous and if you have apartments adjacent to yours it would affect them also.
Also there is obviously a leak somewhere that needs to be fixed.
