Kennmore Washer 80 series?

Question:My washer makes a noise on spin cycle. Its like a whinning noise. Someone thought maybe I have a string caught in the agitator, making that agitator make that noise. How can I find that out? Is there a way to remove the agitator so I can see down there? Please e-mail me with any help.

Answers:
Its not the agitator if the noise is in the spin cycle. Most likely the transmission is starting to fail and if so, wait until it gets too annoying and then buy a new one.
