How do you remove an old dishwasher to put in a new one.?


Question:I have an old dishwasher that I need to take out to replce it with a new one all the hookups are there from the old one so I should be able to put in the nw one, but I can't get the old one out it only moves so far and then stops has anyone ever done this before if you have PLEASE HELP !!

Shut off the water supply and electrical power to the unit. At the top front of the unit above the door should be two screws that hold it to the countertop. Remove them. Remove the grill at the bottom of the DW. Unscrew the nut from the water supply line (normally on the left-hand side). Remove the cover on the electrical box (normally on the right side. Disconnect the wiring. Remove the drain hose from the sink plumbing and feed it back to the DW. The leveling legs may be set high and need to be lowered to pull it out. Good luck.


Get someone else to take it out! Best buy delivers and takes out your old stuff. They did for my washer and fridge :D
It is catching on a lock. there is this little metal floor mounted slot that the back legs slide into. you need to push it back a little and tilt it forward then pull.

or the front is catching on the linolem or flooring.

or you start breaking that old machine apart piece by piece.
