It's a thermal-fogging machine for applying oil-based insecticides & water-based bactericides.
Swing fog operates on the principle of the pulsejet. A series of fuel and air charges are fired in a specially shaped combustion chamber and the depression following each peak pressure wave is used to draw in a fresh charge through a non-return valve. The exhaust gases are forced through a pipe of a smaller diameter than the combustion chamber, causing the gas to move at high speed and to continue to flow after the initial thrust to start the movement. The machine then operates automatically at 80 pulses per second. The chemical solutions fed into the pulsating stream of hot gas where it is broken into small particles and discharged into the atmosphere as a dense
