Shark tooth plumbing fitting?

Question:Has anybody ever had problems with a "shark tooth" plumbing fitting comming loose? The main line to my house has one

Answers:
shark bites are awesome, the plumbing association wouldn't allow them if they were garbage p.s. i plumb

huh ?
no. i use them all the time and have NEVER seen one come loose. you need a special tool just to take them off.
Very reliable fitting although relatively new (last 10 years) to the industry.

I have never experienced one accidentally coming loose after installation.
I have never had a problem with them if installed correctly
sharkbite fittings are great when properly installed. They are almost fool proof, but I had a journeyman plumber that could not seem to get it right. He had 2 leaks due to not having the pipe long enough. He's an idiot though. Anyway, as long as the pipe is seated all the way in the fitting it should be fine. I have seen them leak if there is a lot of vertical pressure on the pipe when someone tries to bend the pipe to make it fit.
