Which way do air condition vents face in a house? In the ceiling mine face the walls, why not face out?

Question:Mine face the windows and walls, it seems they should be facinging inward toward the center of the room. My AC people said they were right, what do you think?

Answers:
They are placed correctly, the ones bouncing off of the walls circulate the air better throughout the room, the one towards the window keeps air circulating on the window eliminating fogging and keeping the heat from being transferred from the glass into the room.they are correct

That is correct to insure the air circulates all over the room and not just in the middle.
Well technically it depends on the layout of the room. I have always installed them to creat a swirl effect. (ex. bounce air off walls.) But I amnot sure why they would face one toward a window. That would warm the air from the outside and you would have some heat loss.
it does not matter which way they face if the system is sized right you should get good ac.
