My socks inside and outside a certain part of my house doesn't work. I checked the fuse box and switched on
Question:and off all of the fuses. So that is not the problem. How do I fix my outlet?
Answers:
could be a number of things check outlets for broken or burned into wires
if its aluminum wire you have big problems
sometimes a breaker will reset but it is still tripped remove panel and with a voltage tester check power at each breaker
if they are all hot than the problem is with in that branch ckt it would be than tracing it out like a puzzle
check if you have GFCI outlets and make sure those are not tripped
some branch ckts run tho wall light switches
broken or lose wire in one of the outlets ether hot black wire or neutral white wire
good luck
sounds like they are hooked to a GFI socket, look for a outlet with a black and red button in the middle of the sockets,
if not, go buy a wiggy,, they are under 20 bucks, it is a AC meter and useful,,,,
I dated a gal once the breaker got weak and wouldnt make contact but looked okay,,
You have a tripped GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter). All outdoor outlets have to be connected to one (the indoor sockets just happened to be hooked up on it too).
Look in your breaker box. A GFCI breaker will have a little white, yellow or red tab on it. Reset and you'll be good to go.
If you can't find a GFCI breaker, you may have a GFCI outlet feeding the circuit. Check for an outlet with two little buttons on it. Push on the button that says 'reset'.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
