How can I stop rust on iron railings?

Question:Iron hand rails line our walkways and pitted rust bubbles appear and peel. What can I apply to stop the rust?

Answers:
there is quite a bit of labor involved but if you do the job using KBS Coatings, you do it only once.
Use RustSeal on the bare metal to stop rust permanently then topcoat with BlackTop.

A lot of work.
Using wire brush, you need to get back to bare metal.
Then apply a "Rust Stopper" product...usually available in motor factor shops not DIY shops.
Then paint with a good metal primer and top coat.
