How do you install the screen on a Larson storm door?
Question:We know that we have to "clip" the retainers into the outer groove, but it does not fit! I measured and the retainer is too wide for the groove...BUT it was in there when we got the door. We read the instructions, watched the video and I called Larson. The retainers do not fit. Larson is sending me new ones, but I am sure they will be the same. Do we have to cut it? Is there something we are missing?? HELP!

the retainers are to hold the screen in a full view storm door I assume. they are meant to be that way they are hard to get started but once they are use a rubber mallet to get them in . if this is not what you are referring to let me know. as I have installed literally 1000's of storm doors. by the way I hate Larson from an install standpoint.
We also had a problem installing the screen on ours, but I opted to leave the window in due to having three kids and two dogs. They do go in though. It is rough. I believe I had to actually take the handle of a screw driver and push down on the groove. Oh btw. the groove on mine was on the inside of the door, not the inside. Email me if you need more help.
