Are tire depressions unusual 1 week after black asphalt?

i accidentally gave the previous answer a good rating, he is wrong the problem is that the person who rolled the asphalt did not roll it correctly and the asphalt was not compressed to a finished hardness also the sub base may not have been properly compacted which is probably the main problem the asphalt should be strong enough after a few hours if the subbase is solid
Whoever paved it did not do the job properly. The pavement was either not mixed to the proper design strength, or someone drove over it too early. If they gave you a specific wait time, and you followed their instructions but this occured, document it with photos.
The only way to restore it is to repave it, if the depressions are deep. If they are shallow, patching can be done.
