Funky smell?

Question:there is a smell that originates from a brand new 3.1 cubic feet fridge when i hooked it up. should i be worried?

Answers:
I don't mean to sound like an idiot but please read the manual. They might address the odor, possibly in the troubleshooting section, or earlier in the manual when speaking about using the fridge for the first time.

SINCE THE LAST PERSON DIDN'T LIKE MY ANSWER I THINK YOU SHOULD WORRY. YOU MIGHT EVEN CONSIDER RUNNING IN CIRCLES FREAKING OUT.

Then I would go to the Manufactures website and see what you can find about your fridge. I am sure they have an FAQ, or service area where you can find things about the odor.

yeah, prob a stinky chemical in it leaking. If it were old, I'd say it might need bleach.
That depends on what the funky smell smells like. Since the fridge is new, I would say it's probably from the engine lubricants heating up and it will burn away harmlessly on it's own. Many new products smell when they're first used.
It's nothing to worry about, it's normal. All fridges smell a little weird when they're new. The smell will go away once it cools down.
Hope this helped, good luck!!
