Freon is added based on suction and discharge pressure of the condensor unit. You need to have the proper set of AC gauges, proper freon and some basic knowledge of refrigeration systems before you just go add freon. You could do more harm than good and end up costing yourself more money if you do not know what you are doing
In short, do the things I said on your other question about freeze up and if that does not work call the AC tech.

the amount of freon used is right on the label by unit is is added according to haw many pounds it needs,if you do not have tools and knowledge leave to a professional.
on the data plate on the condensing unit it will tell you how many oz of freon your system uses...
