Ice Maker Problems?


Question:My Gibson side by side fridge's ice maker and water dispenser quit. It will freeze water I pour into it manually, and the auger turns when pressed. My water line is good, but I no longer hear it calling for water to fill drinking water bin or ice maker. What part should I replace first? What do you think is wrong? Thanks

Does it eject the cubes out of the ice maker?Ice maker wont work unless temp. is good(and I know its old).Is water disp.reservoir & crisper drawers frozen.If so bad freezer fan usually.If no bad neutral wire around water valve.Volt meter the 2 wires on valve, bigger side for disp. and push disp. arm. 110volts or higher,bad valve,broken feed tube,or what I really think it is...no water to frig.Double check FIRST.If low volts,bad wire somewhere or bad switch.Or multi-problem
