Loose ground wire or excessive shaking when closing door or such use the mini flouresent one they save elec and last a long time.
Is the bulb outside and being left on alot? If it is try using a Phillips 60w (burns only 14watts) florescent bulb it is round and looks similar to a regular bulb. Don't get the florescent bulbs from GE that are twisted like a pigs tail they take to long to warm up and the light isn't as bright as a regular bulb.
Make sure you buy the Phillips they are guaranteed to last 5 or 7 years and cost about $3.00 at Wal-mart or K-mart.

Fluctuations in voltage can happen, particularly in long distances from substations. Flouresent bulbs may help, as there is no filament to burn out.
use light bulbs that are rated for 130 volt use or switch to CF's cheaper to run and a lot better on your eyes

Most household voltage is 110 to 120 regular light bulbs are rated for 120 volt max but most house's have 124 to 127 volts or there abouts. The 120v rating on the bulb is max so you put 125 volts on a bulb that can only handle a max of 120 volts and it burns out it also has to do with what we call 'inrush current'
You are probably using regular incandescent bulbs and even though the fixture is rated this high the rating is not to protect the life of the bulbs but rather the safety of your house. Switch to fluorescent bulbs and save yourself the hassle. A fluorescent bulb will produce almost 5 times as much light for the same amount of electricity. If you need or would like more light from your fixture use fluorescent that put out the equivalent of 100 watts of light. They are available everywhere bulbs are sold. (100 Watts of light = 23 Watts of electric power). Don't worry about the fixture rating as this is a heat limit. 23 Watts of electricity equals 23 Watts of heat as well.
PS: Fluorescent come in different shades of color and you will want to pick something suitable.
