Does anyone know how to stop a bathtub faucet from dripping?
Question:The faucet stopper is down and drips, and when lifting the faucet temporarily stops and after 3-4 minutes the drip comes from the shower head. Any ideas?

The washer is worn out where valve seats in the faucet. I have had some faucets that have become so corroded, the entire faucet needed to be replaced. Turn off your water to the faucet, usually means turning off the entire house for a bath faucet. Remove the handle and should find a rubber washer at the end of the handle assembly.
you need to replace your seat washers
Take the faucet appart and put something on the rubber seals to recondition them. go to your local hardware store to buy some.
they might even be able to sell you completly new seals
It's probably the seal in the valve itself.
