You could try putting something sticky on the end of a small stick or Q tip, I'd try some sticky wax or maybe even a hot glue gun. When the hot glue cools it might bring out the broken key? I used a very small needle nosed pliers once to get a broken key out of a lock. It depends how far in it is.
sorry dude, you need a new lock
You can replace it for about 25 bucks
dunno, try a really strong magnet, either that or hire a lock smith and kill him when the job is done so you wont have to pay!
good luck!
u need to call a locksmith
If you can find a piece of metal that can squeeze into the key hole along side the key you can usually work the key out. There is a tool made specifically for broken key removal. You could replace the whole thing for $20, you only need a Phillips head screwdriver and it is a pretty easy job. I think most keys are non-ferrous so a magnet wouldn't work
Good luck
A Large magnet like what roofers use to collect nails that are dropped on the ground. May not take one that big though. You could just take the lock off if possible and tap the key out.
try a small pair of tweezers , daughter did this once . Worked for her .
Firstly, keys are not magnetic. Next, remove the lock from the door. If it's like a Schlage or a Kwikset type you should be able to take the cylinder out of the knob by removing a snap ring or depressing a spring or a pin in a slot or a hole. Once you get the cylinder out you should be able to see the back end and the point of the key there. Use something like an ice pick or a panelling nail to push on the end of the key until there's enough of it protruding from the entry side to grab with pliers. Then lube it all-up and re-assemble. Good luck. Just remember to keep pressure on the center part of the cylinder so it does not want to back out of the housing, because with the key in there, everything is lined up to let it all come apart.
