How to open a door that's locked when you don't have the key?

Question:Well yesterday, I locked the door and later forgot it was locked and closed it. Well I don't have the key to the door and I tried the bobby pin trick but since I don't know how to do it, I'm locked out. Well the door is to my room, so I'm locked out my room. So I'm leaving to New York in a couple days and my clothes and money is stuck in my room. What can I do to open the door without damaging the door or having to call a locksmith?

Answers:
If you want a door/ lock at the end of this call the locksmith.

Alternatives:
Take a drill bit and drill out the center of the lock.
If the hinges are outside you can remove the pins.
If the screws of the lock are on the outside you can dissemble the lock.
You can kick in the door.
Try getting into the room through a window or something.
Remove the casing from the door frame and force the tongue back into the door.

Take it off the hinges
I would drill the lock or find a window or possibly slip a credit card in the crack between the door and the jam. One way or another I would get in. Can you remove the screws in the door knob?

Wish you the best.
u can go 2 the store and get this door key that u stick in the hole and it'll unlock any door that have the lil holes
if u don't really mind the damaged kick the door near the knob it will open i learn this on worst case scenario
Go right above where the knob is and slide an old credit card in there and force down to unlock. Or if you are careful you can use a butter knife to slip the lock, if it has a hole in the knob use a nail to unlock it, just push till it clicks.
call a locksmith.
