Replacing a kitchen faucet?

Question:I have a kitchen faucet that won't turn from one sink to the other. Is it easy to replace a one-control faucet with a similar item? And would getting a new faucet be likely to solve my problem?

Answers:
A new faucet would indeed solve your problem. It is fairly easy to do but requires one special tool, it is called a faucet wrench, that is used to remove the threaded rings that hold the faucet down from underneath. Look underneath to see what kind of new faucet you need, one for two or three holes that are 4 inches or 8 inches apart. Buy the same kind and two new faucet connector hoses at the home center along with the faucet wrench, follow the instructions on the package.

most likely a new faucet would solve your problem. Faucets are fairly easy to replace. you can isolate water under the sink and unbolt the old faucet, slide it out, slide the new faucet in, and make up your connections and secure the new faucet. It takes about 90 min start to finish. Most of the time when your faucet won't turn side to side it's either because of a bent sleeve in the base, which means you have to replace the faucet, or it's because something in the sleeve, like corrosion. You can try to free it, but you want to make sure you don't bend the sleeve, that way if it was just something sticking, you don't break it instead of fix it.
it is easy to replace and cheaper
yes it is easy but you have to have that special tool to remove the nuts that is holding to to your sink be sure and turn the water off !
yes
I've not replaced a single-control faucet, but I have replaced a couple of the two-knob control faucets. If you follow the directions to a "T" you should be okay.because I'm no handy-woman and I did alright. Make sure you get one of the wrenches that are specifically for use with faucets. I was pulling my hair out trying to remove the old one until I realized there was a little tool made especially to do that. Duh!!

By the way, I just realized it's called a basin wrench. Good luck!
all you have to do is put some heat grease on the o rings that are under the spout
