HOW CAN I FIND OUT THE WAY THE MAIN DRAINS ARE FOR OUR VALLEY?

Question:I live in Longsleddale, Cumbria. It is a single road and the River Sprint runs parallel to road up valley.
How can I find out where the main pipes and my connection to them frommy household? Possibbly a surface water problem is arising. I would like to know where the water is coming from. Thanks!!

you can go to the land registry office. they know everything.

If you are the owner of your house and bought it in the last few years, it may well appear in the 'searches' (done by your solicitor) for your property. Otherwise, you may need to contact the water company directly. The council or local library may hold th relevant information too.
