I need to repair small cracks in my front door glass?

Question:My front door is double glazed and 3 small cracks have appeared in the leaded diamonds, possibly due to the door slamming shut through the wind. The cracks are at the bottom end of the diamonds and are approx 3cms wide(from lead to lead). Can anyone suggest a resin or glue I can apply to stop any damp from entering the cavity between the two panes?

Answers:
If it truely has leaded diamonds, then the vapor seal does not exist - it has two layers of glass but it is not truely double glazed insulating glass. You can find a thin glass glue, kind of like Super Glue, from LocTite at many hardware stores to wick into the cracks and hold the pieces.

i don't know if you can use that stuff that can be used on car windscreens, that repair chips. But to be on the safe side, because glass in doors is toughened i would replace the whole unit, it may be dearer but it will be safer. As these cracks may have weakened the glass, which could break if the door is slammed shut and could cause injury to a person.
An auto windshield crack fix might work. I have also used clear silicone and model cement with reasonable effect.
