Where is the thermostat reset switch on a dryer?
Question:i have a lg tromm dryer and the heat keeps turning off when i called for repair they said they just had to trip the reset switch and i dont know where it is to do it again
Answers:
most likely it is on the back of the dryer close to where the heating element is.even though this has tripped and needs to be reset the cycling thermostat is bad and is letting the heat stay on to long ...that is why it is tripping the high limit thermostat.you need to find the other thermostat and replace it..this thermostat should be on the exhaust vent of the dryer ...any thermostat that is used on any dryer will work as long as it is the same temperture rating...
prob on the back of the dryer first place that I would look sounds like to me the switch needs to be replaced. A weak switch causeing it to trip out try that
Thermostats are there for a reason. If the problem continues you might consider replacing the dryer. One reset too many and you might fuse the switch shut and cause a fire.
Some overheat switches are designed to be non resettable so that a person either has to replace it or get a professional to service the unit and maybe advise replacing the dryer.
try to see if your vent is clogged up and clean, also your heat switch may be defective, look ay your manual and look for the parts and wiring print there you will find where it is located.
Sorry, but LG is a gimmick brand and no parts are available
or information outside of the guys that have the monopoly.
Obviously, their service is no good either. Never, ever buy another one. Stick to common U.S. Brand appliances. For
