What is the easiest and quickest way to paint a chain link fence?

Question:I will be using aluminum color paint and have 300+ feet to paint, don't want to use a paint sprayer as it may kill flowers shrubs that are near the fence.

Answers:
A thick nnap roller will do it. Acutally two people working on opposiste sides and each would have a roller. Start at the same end and keep working. It is faster and does a pretty good job.

a glove like you wash you car with
Spray gun
The sprayer is really the only way to go. You can get some inexpensive tarps or painters drop cloths and cover up the shrubs, etc. as you go. Just make sure you know which way the wind is blowing.

might just try a roller, but , it ain't gonna be the same.
glove with a paint sponge.
Unless you want to stand there for days with a paint brush I would use a spray gun or spray paint. Just gently pull the grass or flowers down where you are about to spary. I'm sure they would be fine.
Use a roller with a very thick knap sleeve. Roll both sides of the fence for best results. That will do a good job quickly, and with a minimum of mess.
use a roller with a fuzzy nap like the ones for textured ceilings also the handle should be the kind that you fill with paint they are sold at paint stores every where
I would think the easiest way would be to spray it even though you would have an awful lot of over spray if you don't use some sort of a barricade on each side when spray the other side. If there is a better way I'd like to hear about it. Only other way would be to roll it and that would take forever.
Buy, borrow or rent a Wagner power painter or an equivalent. There is no other way to do it that is time and material effective.
Spraying is the best way without having dripping runs...if you are concerned about the plants home depot sells real thin, disposable plastic in 9 feet by 400 feet rolls for around 22 dollars..do not leave plastic over plants too long in the hot sun..but as far as the sprayyer..if you dont want high pressure, you can spray it with a common bug sprayer, but make sure to buy a paint strainer at the store too or it will clog the nozzle.A bug sprayer is low volume compared to a airless sprayer, and alot less overspray
You'd be there for life with a roller or a brush. Put a plastic sheet on the backside of the fence and move it as you go to protect the flowers and use a spray gun. I've done this many times on rentals.
a 3/4" nap roller a sprayer would wast to much paint
