Answers:
You won't be able to naturally filter it if it's one that you remove and store for the winter. However, if you are worried about harsh chemicals then you can follow the below listed outline.
Add 3 cups of baking soda to the water to bring the alkalinity up
Add 1 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax to condition the water
After these two products have mixed in the water for a couple hours add 2 cups of household bleach (non scented) in the evening after the sun is off the pool. It will turn the water yellow for the first 24 hours. Once it goes clear you can swim in it. Maintain sanitation and oxidation by using 1/2 cup of bleach every couple days in the evening after the sun is off it.
Chlorine is a very unstable product when exposed to sunlight and will degrade out of the water in 12 hours of exposure or less. After the first initial dose takes 24 hours to clear the maintenance doses will clear out of the water by noon the following day. So you will be in water that contains no chlorine at all and the only time you use it is when you won't be in the water anyway.
Every other alternative is way too expensive for use in a "kiddie" pool as they are known in the industry.
