I can help you but i need more information..which fan motor..window unit or central air, inside motor or outside motor, email or IM me and i will help you all i can
buy a new one.
call an ac man to check your freon it is low and there is a leak if you keep running it you will burn up the motor again and the compressor
You may have lost your "freon" and need it recharged, If you
run it without the freon, you will burn out your compressor and
that is where the big bucks come in. And remember that your
air conditioner is only going to make your house about 15
degree's lower than the tempature outside. so if it is a 100
degree's outside, it's only going to get 85 degree's inside.
not at 70 where you want it. keeping the drapes closed on the
sunny side of the house also helps. :-})
if it's window type, what motor did you change, if the compressor then, did you recharge with refrigerant? if the fan motor, then your compressor is not running. if it's split type or package type, same questions. be sure the compressor and fan is running.
Is the new motor under warranty? If so have them replace the motor for one that works. You may also contact some AC company to find out what is wrong. Best Wishes!
OMG,motors and freon,,Most compressors shut off on heat overload many times before they blow, especially a SCROLL.Low freon isnt connected to any motors, and i doubt you changed your compressor. Why change the motor, blower motor, condenser fan motor??Did you hook up a meter and check it.Don't condemn parts without checking them first.Im 25 years in A/C bussiness, tell more details and i can help you.My guess from here is it wasn't your motor but the start capacitor connected to your motor,.Or maybe the run capacitor, these two problems are always overlooked by rookies looking to change motors.
