What can I use as a plunger?
Question:my basements drain is'nt draining all this water I poured on the floor being lazy trying to clean up cat litter and cat fecees.
Answers:
Just buy a plunger. Or if you don't care about a little mess, shove a garden hose down the drain and turn it on. The water pressure may be enough to break up the sludge and wash it down the drain. Don't waste your money on a blowbag. They only work if there's no vent or other drains before the clog. If there is and you try to use a bag, you'll just blow the water out the vent or worse yet out another drain in the house.
You need to call a plumber to look at your drain
All I can suggest is buy one. The dollar store has cheap plungers if you dont want to spend much, which I wouldnt spend much on a plunger either. Hardware stores have something better, its a rubber piece that you attach at the end of a water hose, and stick it in the drain or pipe. WHen you turn on the water, the rubber piece expands, locking in place inside the pipe, and the water forces the clog through. If its clogged bad you might need someone to go in there with a snake.
I can't think of anything around the house that you could use as a plunger except for...a plunger lol
You can go to your local grocery store and get a plunger for less than $5
Do you have a Wet/Dry Vacuum? If so try sucking some of the kitty litter out of the drain with it.
