Can you help me identify my mystery stains?
Question:There are some pics at www.Chris-Hodge.com/iss.html. One stain seems moist, for absolutely no apparent reason. Hopefully, somebody knows what the source is, so I can knock it out. Thanks in advance.

I seen these stain before
there like oil film stain.
sometime it comes from stud under the drywall or the paper that was used to make the drywall
used some Kilz that will seal the stain.
might be a good ideal to paint the complete room with Kilz primer to seal the wall for good

Those are water stains. You will need to remove the dry wall and remove any insulation behind those walls or you will have a mould problem big time and thats dangerous. It does not have to be wet or raining for that to happen. If water had previously leaked into the walls and soaked the insulation it could take weeks or even months to soak through. While you have the dry wall and insualtion off you should seal those walls with DryLoc sealant before replacing the insulation and drywall.
