Gas trimmer not working?

Question:I cannot start my gas trimmer from sears. It seems like it wants to start but that there is too much fuel in the line. I have emptied the trimmer but that has not worked. Is there an additive that I can put in to clean the line? The 2 cycle oil I use is also from sears. Any input would be appreciated before I buy a new trimmer

Answers:
Look inside the gas tank. There is probably a small gas filter stone attached to the end of the gas line. Remove it with a small hooked wire and replace it. Also, check the line(usually plastic tubing) running from the gas tank to the carburator for any split ends or holes. Check the spark plug to make sure it is not fouled and to ensure it is properly gapped.

Are you sure it is properly switched on? Most of these devices need to be started with the choke out. Try doing that and pulling the starting cord about five times or so. Even stale fuel should get some response.
If you did not mix your fuel properly it won't start. If you've filed down the plug it won't start. Make sure you have the proper mixture of fuel & oil.
ok take the gas line off and clean it out. take the carb of and clean it out and put fresh gas in it.. goo luck hope this helps you
