Whats the best way to get june bugs off my grape vine?

Question:Ever since I planted the vine they have eaten at the leaves and I had them planted for about 4-5 years

Answers:
Sevin dust or liquid spray works great. Make sure you read the directions regarding how close to harvest you can spray.

Wait until July, they will be gone all by themselves.
You aren't going to like this. While spraying with Malathion or other insecticides will kill them, it's a long, drawn out affair. Plus, if it should rain, you're spraying all over again. There are June bug traps designed so the bugs will be attracted to the plastic bag (unit comes with a pheromone), they'll bang into the plastic veins over the bag, thus falling into the bag. The bag is designed so the bug cannot crawl or fly back out. Another way is to squeeze the critters between your thumb and forefinger. However, they'll see you coming and fly off. Not only that, you won't be able to get to most of them since they'll be on the top of the vines. June bug traps first, then spraying.
